Wing Tsun (Chun) has allowed me to become more confidence. Before when I started here I was more timid, apologetic, not really that one person to assert myself in a positive way. By being here I've been able to recognize and be aware of my surroundings remove myself from danger situations. It's not about seeking out a fight, but developing the confidence to know who I am and know where I am. I had to use it once when I found somebody tugging on my purse and it was just natural because of all the drills that we've done. It was helpful for me and thankfully it did not escalate. I can say that had it not been for Wing Tsun I probably would've froze up. Wing Tsun is definitely for me, it's a wonderful atmosphere that we have at the school. We come and it's all about training and learning to be flexible go, going forward, not about using power against somebody, but knowing how to effectively diffuse the situation. I believe every woman should take a course in Wing Tsun, it's better to have it when a situation happens then not to and freeze up and not know what to do.
